VW plans to open Spanish battery plant near Valencia in 2026

BARCELONA, March 23 (Reuters) - Volkswagen (VOWG_p.DE) has picked a site near Valencia for a planned battery cell plant in Spain, which could include U.S. carmaker Ford (F.N) as a customer or partner, but the project depends on receiving government funds, it said on Wednesday.
